I know most people could care less about softball, but I know there are some Cal grads and students here.
Cal beat the defending champs Arizona 6-0 today. It was the first championship for Cal in any woman's sport. The thing that makes this amazing is the sad story of Cal star pitcher Jocelyn Forest. 6 weeks ago, Forest's sister was (allegedly) murdered by her husband in a domestic dispute. It's amazing that a 21 year old could perform as well as she did after having something like that happen. She pitched all four games for Cal in the World Series, posting a 4-0 record and only allowed 9 hits and 2 runs in 28 innings.
