With Iraq now setting a record in Military Futility, you Frogs can revel in the fact that it took Hitler twice as long (6weeks) to overrun your country than it did for the US to overrun Iraq.

Well, you have to allow Hitler the point that he needed time to move his army around the Maginot Line...

I live right across from Windsor.

I swear man, if it's real quiet on the Detroit river, after dark, you can hear thousands of Canadians sharpening their ice skates....We'll be waiting to knock down the Ambassador Bridge and the Tunnel if you guys declare war.

Yes, but remember that modern tanks are more than twice as fast as WW2 era tanks and that Iraq is mostly open desert while France has forests, more rivers, hedges and other natural obstacles. Comparatively, France fell far easier than Iraq did.

I would think that would be even more embarassing.

I'm wondering how Parisians would react if Washington DC were to disappear under a suitcase nuke blast. We don't know yet who gets the last laugh. That never stops the arrogant though.

LoonBeam is that you? I missed your mindless drivel. So what did you mean just now? France is going to nuke us, or they are going to laugh if we got nuked? In either case I really don't give a sh!t. What France does has never bothered me one bit. They are the most ridiculous country on earth.

LOL Yea it's real hard to like the French now a days There where a few guys from Franch and Belgum here after 9/11 letting us know what great international weeniers and thugs all us americans are..............

And how Russia really won WWII for them............................ apperantly they dont check the graveyards around Normandy

But they did credit us for firebombing Desden (sadlyI had to remind them it was the Brits)

I keep trying to remember that if not for France we wouldve never had an America, I keep trying to remain greatful for the first nation/people to support this great country of ours

But they do make it hard

And the British were there to help fight the Germans...

France has no shame. They've been invaded so many times and have been defeated in so many different ways, an yet they still think they're the sh!t.

I know thats what your really hoping for moonbeam, the destruction of the nation that allows you to be how you are. Im sure you probably got a laugh on 9/11 too while you sat back and mumbled in french "Stupid Americans, they deserved it"

I didn't realize France had any colors on its flag other than white...

They should know better than any country that containment of problem dictators doesn't work and that sometimes war is necessary. That's their lack of common sense for ya...

I think your vacation (whether self imposed or Mod sanctioned) needed to be longer. These threats? about nuking DC are a little over the top. Threats aren't taken too lightly any more - and NO it isn't a free speach issue and there isn't a debate as to your intent;)

France is like that 'buddy' you had once. You feed him, give him money, and even protect him.

When he gets back on his feet what does he do? He stabs you in the back every chance he gets.

When you try to talk about it he gets all pissed off and throws more crap your way.

The whole country is in denial and has issues.

How would Parisians react? I'm sure they would be shocked and horrified. And then 30 minutes later they would remember that it was the Americans that this happened to and therefore probably deserved.

They probably would be worried to death that it was a French Wine Merchant who was behind it and fear a Military Reprisal:)

I don't agree with anything Moonbeam is saying, but those were NOT threats. A threat is an expression of an intention to inflict pain, injury, or evil. Nowhere did Moonbeam say that he intended to do any of those things. He just supposed a "what if?" argument. It is definitely free speech to say that.

So it was quite a stretch on your part to call that a "threat".

Not really - If I walked around town saying word for word what he said - I'm sure that I wouldn't last an hour before cops would swarm me. ;)

CAD is one of those types who lives in fear and so even words scare him. Not to worry, we have those with us always. I'll put it a different way. I wish I lived in a country of large souls who understood what it means to be and feel big. I think a really big person never laughs at people who he is obviously superior to, but wishes with all his heart to give them the same large spirit he has. People who are small and filled with self hate are the types who taunt and gloat and take delight in ridiculing others, those who have been wrong or who have lost in one way or another. Always, we can see the small spirited and when they are on our side especially, try to show them a better way. That way, when we've improved humanity, when it's our turn to have egg on our face or have to experience some great tragedy there won't be millions of people who we made fun of itching to have their turn to humiliate us. A real winner wants everybody to win. He who feels inwardly like a looser is he who ridicules losers and takes false delight in victory. It's all about largeness of soul. Those are the types you want to see on your side. Get it?

By the way, I was fixing my Mom's sewer. :D

Wow...I quite agree with your sentiment, moonbeam.

Trouble is, most every country in this world is run by men with huge egos. A utopian society is far from being realized.

BTW, did you happen to run into Saddam down in the sewer? Run across a cache of VX, perhaps? :D
