from a die hard laker fan, let me be the first to congratulate all you detroit piston lovers on a well deserved championship.

I'm happy for Larry Brown, Big Ben, and Billups

Laker karma finally caught up with them.

Congrats :(

I'll admit this, Billups is bad-ass. He can sink shots like nothing. I thought Kobe was bad-ass but Billups is butter.

Not sure about better overall, but definitely better in the Finals series. Bryant has tried way too much throughout the series, and is just as much to blame as everyone else on the team (besides Shaq).

I don't think Bryant or Shaq completely sucked. Bryant's ppg was like 22 and Shaq was a little higher. You can't blame those two for the TEAM losing. I think they played well...but the team? Well, never mind.

Good job Detroit. The Laker "Dynasty" has crumbled.

the Pistons have hustled their tails off the entire series. They have completely earned this. Every loose ball is gone after, every close rebound is at least tipped to another player, it's incredible how much they look like the want to win.

Can't wait for all the so-called "experts" on TV and radio who predicted LA to win in 4 to say "well, the Pistons aren't really that good, the Lakers are still a better team, just didn't match up as good."

Phil Jackson = Mediocre coach lucky enough to get jobs with good teams
Larry Brown = One of the best coaches in the NBA

Lakers didn't do anything creative in this series, they just kept trying the same tired routine. It seemed like everyone on the Lakers was just trying way too hard except Shaq.

i'm a laker fan as well, and i have to say, detroit deserves the championship after completely shutting down a team that has really been unstoppable in the playoffs the past five years (except for that missed horry 3 that cost us last year).

this really should have been a sweep, it was embarrassing to watch.

congrats to the pistons and especially larry brown.

unstoppable in the past five years???

I will give 2 years, but 5 years is not right.

Spurs simply outplayed lakers last year, and lakers is just LUCKY fisher made that jumper.. otherwise spurs can easily win that game..

also that shot that horry made when lakers beat the kings was also extremely lucky..

bulls were unstoppable.. lakers were not
