 Here's to you on finally passing me :p.

I'm glad you're getting your fleet back up to speed, however slowly. Just make sure you save some room up there for me :D

Oh, and have a  or two on me

I took another hit tonight, scsi issues are still plaguing the 3.2, I found a copy of windows and spent hours getting it to load only to discover it hates seti. won't let it run, it will download the workunits, but wont run them, all permissions should be set and I even tried the compatibility with xp settings, firewall settings.

I guess since it is running again ... its back to xp. in the am

Gleem, It was hurricane andrew, I am slow ;)

Mondo, I think If I can get all the university computers in my state to donate their cpu cycles in my name I might catch you in oh a century or two ;) lol

Hurricane Andrew, racing to catch you was one of the hardest races I have had, had it not been for jim, you would not have been caught for some time. You are a great teammate and advesary :p I will leave more than just a space for you bro, I will look forward to you catching me

I will also toast you on saturday same as peter :p

Don't think I'll be catching up to you any time soon. Working at a small community bank with only two branches and not a whole lot of potential "takeover targets", I'm pretty much maxed out at 35-40 WU's a day when all are up (and someone doesn't think, "hey, why is the PC still on? I better turn it off for the night/weekend.").

I do think I'll share in the toast though  :D

Once Mike hits 5k my machines will all be going back on Find A Drug.I just wanted to make sure my friend made the 5k mark before they shut down seti classic which he should do in 3 more days or so.

Mike, there are two machines working for you and they are working perfectly well. No problems, harddisks OK, video OK, RAM OK, CPUs OK. :D

The only problem is that you don't know where they are. :Q

And I will not let you know - because if you know, you may want to look at them ... :p

Have a nice week end Mike, I'll toast to you at my pub @ 22:00 UTC.
I'll be toasting for the other team mates @ 22:15 UTC.

Peter

As long as you don't look at them ... :Q

1. P III, 1270 MHz, 786MByte RAM, server with SCSI Raid 5 (304 GByte) - file server w. backup function (SCSI-tape drive) for all other comps on the LAN. [Win XP SP2]
2. Athlon 64 3000+ 1.5 Gbyte RAM multimedia server (music to all rooms through comps and stereos, movies, IP-TV, etc. to three monitors) [Win XP SP2]

Together they produce about 13 - 15 WUs a day .... where they are, whatfor, whererto and whyso is for you to ask and for me to shut up about ... :p

ok after an all nighter and morning here is an update.

3.2 powered and running xp clean install (finally think I am past the issues...crosses fingers), seti installed and first workunits sent in.

3.0 swapped power supply and ram running xp,seti installed and finishing the old workunits.Seems to be doing fine...so far.

2.8b running xp, tore it down and rebuilt it, (swapped some things around same problem so I just rebuilt it) seems to be fine seti installed and running past workunits.

xp1700+ still chugging away at the workunits, no problems here.

axp 2400 :Q seti installed and running, new client, new install :p Just visiting.

Server still down, till I can afford to invest in some 3.6 naconas at least :p

I installed 6 better power surge protectors untill I can get 4 ups units. 4 rated at 3750 joules, 2 at 7500 joules.

Wow nice, damn you got hit hard too.But I see you took the oportunity to expand :p, dammit my wiring won't support much more. :(

Oh yeah I did replace the router and 2 100 foot cat5 cables as well.
cost was 25.00 for the router and shipping and 30.00 for both cables locally.
buying cat5 cables locally is highway robbery most wanted 50.00 apiece for them :Q

Mike

the xp2400 was short lived as the owner is picking it up a week early.:(

Good news as there are no reboots or scsi alarms going off today...heard that damn alarm almost so times in 2 days. my damn ears are still ringing. :p
