I build a "new" system and it went very well.

New cpu,mobo,ram,case.

Kept the same HDD and gpu for now. What is so awesome is that the only thing I did to get it running was load my new mobo chipset drivers. Everything works.

I still plan on getting a modern HDD for it(mine is a sata1)
And I will go with windows 7 instead of xp. But all in all, a success!

The last time I tried this, the OS freaked out and went crazy trying to find drivers for all the new hardware.

So sorry In my glee I forgot to actually add details.

2x2 gig of gskill ddr3
Phenom 2 550 x2 BE (working as tricore now. Not stable with all 4 cores.)
Gigabyte ga-ma770t-ud3p

Antec 300 case to wrap it up. Its a zombie system for now. Sorta buggy until I get the rest of the new hardware and get windows 7 going.
