Congratulations to my workplace mascot! 😉

During the big Y2K buzz, all kinds of nifty Y2K items were available in the store, along with these little 5" Y2K "bugs" that make a crashing sound when you slam down on a hard surface; we got one for the library(where I work) and named it Crash - the Computer Services mascot for KDL. 😛

Anyways, we started doing SETI at work in April of 2000, and have just now passed the 10,000 mark. Unfortunately, my current boss isn't interested in joining TA, but then he hasn't been interested in Crash joining any team, so there's still hope if my boss leaves before I do. 😉

That is a real possibility though.. my boss leaving.. I've been thru five of them in the six years I've worked there... guess I just keep wearing 'em out! 😛

 
My boss barely gets paid more than I do.. and the fact I could bring 10k of SETI WUs to our TeAm just isn't enough incentive to take on all of the extra responsibilities.

Besides, I've already recognized that I'm not a manager/leader; I'm a technician at heart - if that means I don't get the big bucks, that's okay, I can live with that. It's best to have a job(that pays the bills) and makes you happy. 😉
 
Sounds like we have 10,000 WUs in a "Trust Account". When the estate 😉(ever) gets settled, TeAm AnandTech will definitely look forward to this nice inheritance. 😀
