I got promoted. more responsiblity, higher profile, more things to know....got a pay DECREASE and no recognition for the continuous good job that I do.

Sounds like the story of my life. I was making $90,00/yr. in 1988. With all my promotions and added responsibility I am now earning about 1/3 of that.

got more responsibility anyway
more liability
frozen salary for second year in a row
and bonuses... hahah yea right...
people still getting fired
and I work 80+ hours a week and I am on call 24 hours a day

Because I don't have another decent paying job to fall back on. Believe me, i'm not taking this longer than I have to. I'm looking for better jobs now with not much luck.

Also, on a side note, in these new responsiblities, I have access to a new resource. When using this resource, my time isn't logged and I get minimum wage. Needless to day, this equals 40% cut in paycheck for the past month in a half. They've been slowly fixing it, but I've ben living on reduced funds the past month. I've NOT been happy about it either.
