Jumping the gun there a bit? What makes you think that USF or BC wont slip like all the others, opening the door for an OK or even SC

If the craziness of the past weeks continues, I wouldn't be suprised to see Michigan playing Oklahoma in the national title game....

Ohio State might make it to the National Championship again only to get romped by the opposing team a la in January.

I always want to say we'll see OSU at the NC game this year, but I don't want to get so bold right now, not with the way the Top 10 has been shaping up the past couple of weeks and constantly being shaken up. Anything can happen, that has been proven over and over this year.

This years been crazy in terms of upsets..
Seems like the NC can go to practically any team.

I hope USF loses to Rutgers next week, so Rutgers can make a run back into the top 10.
Following week, West Virginia....
Rutgers practically has to run the table for even a shot at the NC.
Especially if more upsets are in the making for couple of the undefeated teams left in the top 10.

I'd wager just about anything that Ohio State loses at LEAST two out of their last five games.

There's upset potential against Penn State and maybe Wisconsin. They'll definitely lose against Michigan. UM have to redeem themselves after losing to App. St. What better way than to beat their rival, OSU and the number 1 team in the nation. That'd be one crazy season for Michigan.

Well, of course! ;)

Just stirring the pot a little, but I wouldn't be surprised at all if OSU finished the regular season undefeated.

The only currently ranked teams on their schedule are Illinois and wisky, both of whom lost today. PSU and Meatchicken will both probably ranked when they play them, though.

If the defense continues to play the way they have played so far, Michigan is the only strong potential for a loss that I see for OSU in the regular season. At this point I still think that LSU is a better team than OSU. I'd say that USC and Cal are both about on-par.

I see ohio state running the tables. OSU can pass and michigan showed that if the balls in the air they don't have a chance in hell of winning.
Penn State could be their toughest game--should be the best defense they face before their bowl game.
They'll destroy Wisconsin. Wisconsin's defensive coaches should be fired. To go from 2nd in the nation last year to 70+ now is pathetic--we only lost 3 starters which points to the coaches. The cordinator is too stupid to realize the offence running the same play over and over and can't adopt. Donavan will throw god knows how many sh!ty passes (count the times he's "just short/off the mark") and defensive cordinators/linebackers realize he's too stupid to watch more than one receiver; hence he looks exactly where he's or will be throwing. The only thing donavan has is balls, he doesn't care about getting hit but that won't get us anywhere.

<----- Wisconsin fan pissed off about our defense, if you can even call it a defense, and the fact that donavan is starting.

The good news for wisconsin is donavan will be gone next year and hopefully the defensive coaches will see a shake-up during the off season.

Ohio State has a chance of going undefeated in the regualr season, but to anoint them national champions before they have to play a good team from another conference is a little premature. Don't forget what happened against Florida.

And all they had to do was beat one decent team to get the number 1 ranking, everyone else was cake.

Pretty much, which sets them up for yet another trouncing if they do luck out and make it to the championship game.

What if they're playing BC though?

Considering Penn State has won 19 out of their last 20 home games, I think there is some pretty good upset potential there. Not to mention that we have a habit of upsetting OSU...

OSU's schedule to this point has been a joke.

Both Michigan & OSU still have to play MSU & Illinois (imho the only two teams with a chance of beating Big Blue or the Bucknuts what with Wisconsin looking worse & worse week by week). The Big 10 Champion will be crowned 11/17 in Ann Arbor. If Michigan wins that one & doesn't drop another one before then & it's OSU's only loss, Michigan will go to the Rose Bowl & OSU will play in the NC game. Where Michigan will be slaughtered by a spread offense & OSU will get annihilated by an SEC team, haha.

Unless MSU or Illinois get their sh!t together, since both have easy schedules the rest of the season (aside from Michigan & OSU).

Why can't USF or BC beat tOSU? OSU isn't that great. Nobody in the little Eleven is.

And I don't think all the "upsets" people are talking about are really upsets. Kentucky is a good team. LSU is, too. But you are never as bad as your worst game, and never as good as your best. LSU isn't as good as they looked against VT, and not as bad as yesterday.

This is why there shouldn't even be any polls until at least halfway through the season. All the writers do is look at the standings last year, then look at the "brand names" of the teams, and vote the same old teams to the top 10 that they always do.

So everyone thinks that these are the top 10 teams, and they all scream "upset" when they start getting knocked off by a supposedly "lower" ranked team.

yeah, USF could, that D is for real imo. Maybe BC if they got a few bounces. Either one might be the best team OSU plays. Just another reason a tournament is needed.

OSU is ranked #1 because of the defense and reloaded offense. IMO, USF bulls have a better body of work but they also struggled against FAU. Regardless I think USF, BC & OSU all have a legitimate gripe for #1. I think the teams themselves could give two shits about the rankings at this point... you have to win out and then worry about your ranking.

FWIW OSU has all their schedule remaining, you haters can dis that all you want but for years OSU has had tough out of the gate schedules. It's nice for once to cruise a little in the early part of the year and get things in a rhythm. Will definitely make for some awesome games the rest of the way. Biggest trap IMO is against those pesky Lions, I hope we roll through Happy Valley and leave a crater where once there was a football stadium :D
