Is there such a thing as a 9400? Is it that the 9400 has 6mb cache and the 9450 has 12mb cache?

What's the difference in price? Is it worth it?

Does the extra cache help at all? If so then for what? Only certain programs? Games?

Which ones overclock best?

Is there a good review with charts comparing 9300/9400/9450/9550?

Intel also lists a Quad core 8200, isn't this dual core? I'm so confused. Is there a non extreme 9650? the Q9650 instead of the QX9650 what is there difference?

Any enlightening is MUCH appreciated.

qx9650 has an unlocked multiplier and different tjmax than the locked q9650. q8200 is a quadcore. q9400 and q9450 both exist, first has less l2$. Dual cores or QX (extreme) models overclock the best. out of all the quads you're naming, the highest multipliers (q9650, q6600, q6700) overclock the best.

the q9400 is replacing the q9450, yes it will have less cache, but it is also a new stepping so I hope we can finally see something reasonably priced dethrone the q6600

http://forums.anandtech.com/me...id=28&threadid=2213406 check this out to see what some guys are doing with it...on the 3rd I get mine :D (frys had it for $265
last week)

I'm disappointed that there are no reviews on this yet...i guess everyone is still in awe of the q9650 putting out 4.0 on safe...but i found one screen shot that showed it doing 3.6 on 1.2v so the potential is there
