So as far as I understand it the KT400 does not offer official support for DDR400. However it does offer many other benefits which make it appealing. I'm still confused about one thing. Supposedly, when you run the FSB and the RAM at the same speed then they never wait for each other but when you are running them at different speeds there is a bit of a performance loss. Hopefully this is made up for by the added memory bandwith. But what if one is to overclock the frontside bus to match the speed of the ram? If I was to overclock the FSB to 166 and keep the RAM at 166 (effectively 333) then is there no pefromance hit? Or is that performance hit going to occur anyways on these typicaly asychronous motherboards? This is what keeps me up at night.
