Question Confusingly corrupted Documents folder

For any files/folders in any user's(including Public user) Pictures, videos, or documents directories, I can only read the contents but not edit them even after I've granted complete rights to "Everyone". I thought this might be some corrupted disk problem at first but the weird thing I am able to edit these Media directories in Safe Mode.

My question is if the Media Directories are really corrupted, why I am able to edit them in the Safe Mode?
