Confusing?

Maybe I am just not "techie" enough but I find most if not all of the Anandtech articles confusing as hell. I also find most of the discussions on the forums way over my head. Is there something wrong with me? 😛

There's much to be learned. Ask questions where you need to; some people are a bit patronizing sometimes, but there are enough good members here that'll answer the questions you've got.

i experienced the same thing as you did when i joined this place last year.
then i stopped coming to this place for over a year because i couldn't understand they were saying
then i learned over a year about techie stuff and now look, i'm a golden member😀

yeah, it can be overwhelming..

There is a certain "Geek-Speak", but if you keep involved you will pick it up.

Just don't hesitate to ask questions.
Some idiot will always feel the need to try and belittle you for asking, but just thicken up the ol' skin and hang in there.

Someone with a bit more class will usually come around and help when they see your question.

Well said Sid. Genix there definately is alot to learn and ALOT of geek-speak but I think the people who are willing to help definately outnumber the few that like to belittle people who ask seemingly 'simple' questions. Just ask away and learn to take all the good with a little bad.

If you find us talking about something that's left you in the dark then:
1) Ask about it.
2) Read the AT FAQs
3) Check Webopedia (or similar)
4) Read the article in question (and/or anything it links to)
5) Do a quick Google on the subject

Also remember if you're posting news, then always link it up for real don't just put a text URL (that tends to bug ppl).
Also consider setting up your System Rig and linking it in your sig (that'll help people answer your questions when you have an issue and save us asking for specs).
