i get g4tv though....
if you have two channels and digi cable is suppose to give you "digital" sound than...
digital means it will go digital all the way to the ****** 13inch tv or to the 10108490352inch plasma
in other words

You're not going to get component, DVI or HDMI outputs unless you have a digital cable box with HD capabilities.

Digital cable only refers to the way the signal is transmitted to your TV. It allows the cable companies to pack more channels into the same bandwidth. Some cable boxes have digital audio and s-video outputs, but many do not. It really depends on the cable provider and the models they offer.

well off to p1ss on the gdang box see if theyll give me a new one.....

but they couldnt have even given me s video output :mad

S-Video doesn't automatically give you better picture quality over composite.

Let me spell it out for you

Digital cable > Analog cable no matter if you only use composite on both

One digital cable box > Another digital cable box

You want a better picture and more connectivity options then get the better box...

Ding!Ding!Ding! We have a winner!

well i always thought digital cable would look better than an antenna on the r00f
and i thought it would have um say ah digital outputs....

im saying i will have a word with them...
i expect at least no fuzz from "digital" cable

is there something im missing....

You have your expectations way too high.

You know that your CD player is a "digital device", yet (usually) has no digital outputs.

Why would you expect anything different from digital cable.

And also, for the record, digital is not ever necessarily better than analog. For cable, it usually works out thay way since an analog channel uses much more bandwidth than a comparable digital channel. But some cable companies (and especially satellite companies) push it even further and compress the channels to the point where all you can see is compression artifacts...
