Confused with these models of these Nvidia cards

They're the same model name but they have different memory #s
In the pictures, they also look similar.

I'm confused

One has 256 MB of video memory, the other has 512 MB.....

The core and memory are both clocked at exactly the same speeds on both cards. The only difference is the price and 256 MBs. The 512 seems to be pretty rare though, both tigerdirect and newegg don't care it.

Unless you're confused about something else?
