Confused with powering the 8800GTX

Its me again 😉 Im looking at the 8800GTX here. On the card it places to hook 6-pin connectors. With the vid card came 2 wires, each with 6 pin connectors on one end, and then splits into 2 power supply connectors (each). I have to plug it into my power supply 4 times? Or something I do not understand?
 
Correct - the 8800GTX uses two of the 6 pin PCIe power connectors. Sounds like they provided two adapters that have 2 standard 4 pin molex power adapters. You need to plug all 4 ot those to your power supply.

As you can probably figure, it needs a lot of power.

I was just confused...I didnt need the adapters once I actually took the time to find the PCIe connectors from my power supply. Thanks though 🙂
