Confused with New Chipsets

With the nvidia 7 series, the X-38, x-48 and P35's I don't know which way to turn for my next board.

Here are what matter to me:

PCI-Express 16x2.0 support
Support for 45nm dual or quad core
I would prefer to still support DDR2 and if possibe DDR3 so I can upgrade that later as needed
I am not at all interested in 3xSLI support and only mildly interested in 2xsli so the n780i is not mandatory.

Any suggestions on what chipset to look at? Should I just wait to see the prices and specs on Nvidia's 750i's when they come out?

Edit: I am mostly interested in gaming and cinematics. My signature should show my current system.

PCI Express Generation 2.0 (PCIe 2.0) is only native to the X38 and the upcoming X48 chipsets.
They both support 45nm and Quad-Core CPUs.
I haven't seen any of the X38 board that support both DDR2 and DDR3.
Note: Don't waste your money on DDR3, just get loads of DDR2 now.
Intel chipsets support Crossfire although I've heard that you can run SLI on some hacked drivers (I need more info on this though).
Nvidia wants to keep SLI on their own chipsets.

If you are willing to sacrifice the PCIe 2.0 support (the extra bandwidth isn't really needed yet anyway)...
You can get the Gigabyte GA-P35C-DS3R, it supports both DDR2 (4 slots) and DDR3 (2 slots).
However, they can't be used simultaneously.

The upcoming 780i chipset from Nvidia is said to be the best SLI chipset ever but then again...
A single faster card is usually better than 2 lower cards in SLI...
Unless, of course, you plan to SLI 2 high-end cards.
