I'm building a new computer with a Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3R and a intel core 2 e8400 and I really can't figure out which memory to choose 2GB pc-6400..want some that are capable of high speed overclocking.. choices I got are

cruicial

corsair xm2

mushkin 1

mushkin 2

patriot - enhanced latency

patriot- low latency

Now with the mushkin I see 1 of the timings is different and it uses I think .1 less volts.. big difference?

Also the patriot there are two versions, enhanced latency and a low latency what would be better?

I really appreciate any help I could get with this..

thanks

A low latency and a higher speed are good. But it doesn't really matter. Get some good OCing RAM or whatever is cheapest, depending on what you want to OC to.

Get the Corsair w/ the rebate.

Hey thanks for the reply would the corsair be able to run at 900-1000 mhz with the overclocking?

You could probably get it to run that those speeds but would need to relax the timing to 5-5-5-15. I have the patriot low latency ram (LLK) and it is specified to run at 500mhz (1000) at 5-5-5-15. Has worked well for me though I have never clocked it that high.

Guess it will come down to the cheapest one then between the patriot and corsair if I were to have any problems with it, which company has the best RMA?
