Its me again. Still tryin to get my upgrades installed and working. The first time i tried, PC wouldnt boot. Fans worked, lights worked but wouldnt boot nor would my monitor get a video signal. I think from what i gather, thru posting here, and the Intel website, my problem was with the power supply that came with my case. The first time i hooked it up to the mobo, (P4T-E) i only used the ATX power connection (20pin). That was the only power connection the power supply has. From what i gather, i also need to connect a ATX 12v (4pin) connector to the mobo (P4T-E). So, i ordered a Antec 400w PS that says in the "info" section from the place i ordered it, that it will work with todays P4 mobo's. Will this PS work on my Asus P4T-E mobo and have the proper connectors? And get me up and running?

What i am replacing:
P3B-F (Asus) mobo
P3-800 cpu
pc100 mem

Replacing it with:
P4T-E (Asus) mobo
P4-2.2 ghz cpu
Corsair pc800 2x256= 512 total meg

All my other upgrades have gone pretty much problem free. But i did have a helping hand doing so. He moved far away, so with this upgrade, it has been trouble some, since i am not a very good puter pro. But i figure, gotta learn somehow and sometime, so im doin this one myself.

Thanks for any help.................CK

You are correct and will work with that mobo.

<< And get me up and running? >>

From what you described that sounded like your problem, guess we'll have to cross our fingers.

By your specs that sounds like 1 nice machine your building, it'll be a good feeling for you, I'm sure. You can call your buddy and say...hey I did it. Nice not having to rely on someone alot, been there done that.
Hope you post back and lets us know how it goes.
What OS are you installing on that machine?
Best of luck to ya!! :)
