Can someone explain to me how to install the virtual pc additions in Microsoft Virtual PC 2004 SP1 with Fedora Core 4 as the guest OS?

I have a linux class and I am trying to install this at home.

I am used to using VMware at school but the VPC is free to me as a student.

You should just have to make the virtual hard drive within MVP. Boot the virtual system with the CD in the drive. Run the normal Fedora install. I think you need to configure the virtual drive as linux space as well.

From there you should be able to work with the system, if it was running on the VPCs hardware.

I'm not sure on the specific menus to do this as I'm fiddling with Ubuntu at the moment.

I am not asking how to install Linux.

I want to install the extensions but the virutal cd does not autorun.

The pop up box says if it doesn't then you need to execute the setup.exe. How do you run this in Linux?

It is so simple to install the VMware tools but MS makes it hard.

MS's VPC additions doesn't work under Linux.
