Confused... also just slightly angering.

This has me confused.

Based on forum rules, resellers are not allowed to sell here. So what I see are indivuals trying to make the same ammount of money because Paypal charges fees that they pass on since they are a merchant.

Basically Anands has two rules contradicting each other. While I have never charged more for paypal because I find it scares people away, other people are already losing money. Why do they have to lose more if they are not a reseller but a private person?

Also Anands definition of a reseller is a person who buys in quanity to resell here. Basically to make profit since they get a price break on volume discounts.
What about this? I see a lot of people selling 'NIB'... with the bar code (UPC) carefully cut out for rebate purposes. In turn, they sell it for less than retail and still make a profit. Shouldn't they be considered a dealer being they make a profit?
A perfect example I seen was not too long ago. Two identical products of WinXP. One person found out his computer can not handle it. He puts it up for sale then someone offers the same thing for much less with the UPC cut out. Who's do you think sold?

What I am getting at is. I think this place should be either for the individuals without the contradictions, or allow 'dealers' back in since in essense a UPC cutter can be called a dealer by making profit.
Resellers do after all save money offering new products most of the time while being able to make a living and make most people happy.

While I appreciate Anandtech trying to make this place a good place to visit, the FS/FT has a couple contradicting rules that should be resolved.
