Confused about the xp2100+

Sorry if this might be a dumb question, but...

I'm looking at the Abit KR7A-133R or the Soyo Dragon+ and the specs on both say they only go up to the xp2000+, yet I haven't read anywhere on this forum (or anywhere else for that matter) that the either mobo won't support the xp2100+.

So, do these boards support the xp2100+ ?

You will need to check vendor...it is likely it may need a bios upgrade maybe to support a 13x multiplier...

Otherwise it is same socket and everything else xp wise...

Thanks, Duvie. I'll try that. Last time I contacted Abit, there was a real communications problem - the guy didn't speak English that well - but I guess I'll have to give it a shot.

Was hoping that someone knew from experience. I gotta start building a new rig - I've got an old one that's just hanging in there & I've got to replace it before it goes to that great Computer Place in the Sky.

My Kr7a supports a 13x multiplier, you will be fine
