Confused about RAM/bus speed

Can someone please answer this for me. I just built a p4 2.4b ghz on an asus p4pe black pearl. the cpu box and motherboard box both say "supports 533mhz FSB" and "ddr 333mhz" my 3 questions are:

1. Is the front side bus the same as the external clock speed?

2. What is the fastest RAM for gaming I can install on this board?

3. How can I check the FSB speed?

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

1) the Front Side Bus (FSB) is at 533Mhz, which is the memory speed quad-pumped. So the memory speed is 133x4, and you'd use DDR (in this case PC2100). Using 333Mhz memory (PC2700), you have to run the memory async, which generally results in a lower performance than running sync'ed.

2) anything PC2100 or above, though you may not be able to get the full performance of faster RAM

3) CPUz?
