Not to mention a myriad of those soap-opera and gossipy shows. There are also many more shows that have interracial neighbors, friends, family members, etc.

Also, I really don't consider myself to watch that much TV ( < an hour a day usually).

I guess there are quite a lot, although i want to see more
anyway, i was hoping for "families" not just couples who screw each other or go on a date
a family with different race parents so the children are mix or something like that

the thing is, i do realize interracial couples are increasing in numbers, but the trend seems due to curiosity or the "exotic-ness" of the other person of another race
u know what i mean, a guy would say, yeah i wanna try doing a xxxx girl at least once
but is still racism u know...
i cant really put my thought into words because i am not really educated in this racism matter, but that is what i perceive

i think he is right
a european, if born in france, will call themselves french, if born in germany will call themselves germans (regardless of race)
in america, even if they are born here, would call themselves "african" "asian" "armenian" etc etc
although i concede that some europeans are racists too, there are racists everywhere, but the classification system in america promotes racism
i am not saying it is wrong, but i think it works against the good of the people

one funny thing, i saw a show called "date my mom" or something like that
the racist daughter asked the mom "is he american?" which is freaking funny, because everyone knows she meant "is he white?"

racists, IMO, have the narrowest mind. I find it easier to ignore them unless they threaten me or my family. words dont hurt me. case in point, while waiting at a traffic light the other day, my indian friend was "attacked" by an older white man. I put attacked in quotes because the man got out of his car, started yelling obscenities and finally kicked his brand new TL and ran off to his car. Friend and I didnt really have any time to react as this all happened pretty quick. Light turned green and he sped off and made a left. Instead of following him, we took down his Liscense plate # and filed a police report.

Police report came back in favor of my friend and the white man had to pay my friend $1300 in small claims court for denting his trunk.

We could easily have chased the guy down and "taught him a lesson," but it was eaiser to ignore him for the time being and take the lawful path.

thats quite an experience, where was this?
anywa, was the $1300 enough to fix it? acuras are exspensive to fix

anyway, my indian friend was abused at an FL motel by the owner and the cops couldnt do anything but advised my friend to leave the motel without refund (state law doesnt allow refund due to racist attacks)
