confused about KT266

people say that ASUS and ABIT are gonna make mobos using the KT266 chipset. Now, the thing that confuses me is that when you go to the VIA website, it has a list of manufacturers. ASUS and ABIT aren't on there!

Yeah, I was surprised too. Probably going to announce it right as it ships. That way people don't lose interest over time, which tends to happen if you announce something far too early.
 
Go to this site and scroll down to March 19th news and you'll find a list of manufacturers that will produce mainboards based on the KT266 chipset:
