yesterday i ordered a Zalman Universal Silent VGA Heatpipe Cooler ZM80A-HP from this site: best byte okay, i have ordered from this site plenty of times before and i always received a confirmation e-mail for my order. this time, i did not receive one. my debit card had been charged after i had confirmed it with my bank. the site also sends you an e-mail when the product is sent out. i e-mailed them twice and tried calling but no one answered and their voicemail system was full. i am worried that i am not going to get my product. i hope this was not a computer glitch on their end. i don't know what to do.

i was expecting more helpful replies. i guess i will just have to wait and see until my package arrives. if something doesn't come by the end of the week, i am going to talk to my bank and try to get in touch with best byte.

I ordered from them once about a year ago. I had a question about my order...I called, they were very polite and helpful..sounds like a small operation..one dude answered the phone, pulled up my order out of a basket (I could hear the papers!) then gave me shipping info.

My order arrived on time, intact and everything worked.

That was at least a year ago, though...the website looks the same. Keep trying to call; I am sure everythign will be fine. :)

I sometimes don't recieve any confirmations from them either, but my packages always came. You can/should keep calling them to make sure, but I bet you will get your package.

Does this make things safer? Just wondering - I use the VISA debit.

you can call your CC company and report fraud or whatever... its money that you owe only if the transaction was valid

debit... it goes straight out of your bank account

No, I'm referring to a VISA debit which draws from my checking, yet it has VISA logo on it. Dunno what exactly it does.

i use my moms visa debit card for all my online orders. works great. its very secure because it has fraudulant purchase protection. if someone gets ahold of the card and uses it on a different ip address you dont have to worry about it. seems safe to me.

He's talking about a visa check card. Which is still basically a debit card.

Debit cards can be used two ways
Debit = little to no credit protection, Requires pin
Visa = More credit protection, should require signature(not always)

A credit only card = more credit protection than a debit card.

Always use a real credit card for internet purchases
(One shot visa numbers are the best)

If the original poster does not get his merchandise within two weeks,
I would dispute the charge with the visa
DON'T wait more than 30 days.....
