Ok, just a little confused on this one.

The 9700 comes in Pro, and Non-Pro versions.....but the Non-Pro version is made by sapphire atlantis, correct? And if so, is there any diffrence in quality or overall 'goodness' in ATI manufatured and Sapphire made boards?

Im basiclly looking for a good board in the $220-$250 (Retail) range, and i want an ATI with 8xAGP (obviouslly). So if there are any other boards that i should be looking at please tell me.

Thanks!

The quality of the sapphire and ati cards are virtually identical, since sapphire makes a lot of ati cards. You might want to look at getting a 9800np also, you can get those for around $235.

As he sort of said, ATI makes cards, and Sapphire makes cards. Two manafucturers. I would go with the 9800 np, in any case. Your choice though.

OMG do not get the se. It has half the pipes of the normal 9800. Much slower card.
