Conflicting timeframes for PCIe for AMD64

I am really confused now about when AMD will get PCIe. To make it worse I am trying to hold out to buy my new system until PCIe arrives for the S939 platform.

The good news:
  • Anandtech posted an article saying that VIA was working on a chipset to provide PCIe for S939. It mentioned that the K8T890Pro and non pro would have PCIe and are sampling now and would be in mass production in Q3'04. I was very excited when I read that article.

The bad news:
  • Today I read on the Inquirer that PCIe would not be coming to AMD until Q1'05. I don't know if I can wait that long because that could be anytime between January through March.

So I don't know what to think. When will PCIe be coming to AMD? Am I just chasing technology in the dark by waiting till PCIe comes to AMD before I buy my new system?

From pretty much every article on the subject. Thing is, it's still just a bunch of "experts" guessing.
