conflict with agp bus in 1.6a OC'ing

Hey, when i OC my 1.6a over 115, resulting in a agp bus speed of 38? i think it is... well anyway, my geforce 3 Ti200 screws up, and my display will just be gray when it reboots. when i go back in and back it down so that the pci bus speed is the next level lower, it all works fine. This all means i can only OC to 1.84 right now... is there a way to fix this? please help me out...

Sure that's easy. Set your fsb for 133 🙂

The 1/4 divider will kick in (assuming you have one, I'm not aware of any recent boards that don't).

That'll put you at 2.133ghz, and your agp/pci will be back in spec.

interesting... yeah it worked, thanks. so what are the other speed combinations for this oc'ing ratios that work... when i was at 115 fsd, the agp was at 38... does that mean that if i raise the fsb to around 140 something and the agp is still 38 or lower, i shouldn't have any conflicts?

Yup, 140/4=35. So you'll be pretty close to in spec. 150/4=38, getting close to that not so fun level. Some folks say there are boards that do it at 166 also, but I don't know of any. The best are those that lock the bus, so that you can't get out of spec. Wish I had one of those, but they don't make one (that I know of) that does what I need.

i'm at 133 now, and when i go any higher and the agp bus speed increases, it whacks out my vid card...d oes this mean i'm stuck at 2.13 ghz, or is there a way to fix this?
