Hi there,

A friend of mine has a Sapphire Radeon 9000 Graphics Card and a Relisys TE-988 19" Monitor. Twice the monitor has just died on her without any warning at all, Relisys have been superb in replacing it but is still quite a pain!

She says that the screen keeps "jumping" about, it sort of keeps resizing itself and stretching etc...meaning that she needs to manually resize...this did not occur when she had a borrwed Tiny 17" monitor attached....only with this Relisys one.

I have supplied a number of Relisys TE-770 17" Monitors but this is the only 19"....is this particular model rubbish or is there some kind of conflict that could possibly keep killing the monitor. When it dies, it is gone....won't turn on or anything.

Hi!

I recently saw such a problem at the system of a friend of mine. the geforce2 mx did strange things with the monitor. it changed the display resolution or frequency of the screen now and then just for second causing the screen to blank out for a second. the connected videoseven monitor died afte 3 weeks or so and after it was repaired it died once more. none of us imagined at that point the the video adapter caused that, but after we replaced the videoseven with an eizo wich showed the same symptoms and died some days later we knew.

i conclude that your problem could be similiar. we never found out about the reason of that bug. however, a new display adapter was the cure.

hope this helps...
