yeah he is. But he is definetly worth watching. Seems like he has some pretty good opinions and isn't afraid to say what he's thinking. I always look forward to the pre game/half time/ post game shows because of him. Sucks when espn carries the game instead of tnt.

Go mavs. Can't believe they won. Duncan reminded me of KG in his series against the Lakers where he missed those two back to back free throws in the final seconds.

One thing I have noticed about TNT guys, especially Charles and Kenny, is that they don't think the Mavs can win anything. They were picking Portland and Sacramento over Dallas. It's like they don't believe what they are seeing. But in tonight's coverage, they are finally starting to give the Mavs some credit. They have this semi-shocked look on their face too LOL. Magic has been giving the Mavs their due all along, I think he understands Dallas is a dangerous team that just cannot be swept aside. I think that has to do with the fact he has more championship experience than Kenny and Charles put together :D

Okay yeah... Dallas would have won without making that outrageous amount of FT's.

No of course not. I was responding to your arrogance towards Dallas in this thread. Well since Dallas won, are you gonna continue to be as arrogant towards them the rest of the series? Your attitude reminds me of Kenny and Charles on TNT. Oh but they are believing now aren't they? :)

Spurs shouldn't have fouled em that much then, Chris. :D

That's like saying "The Mavs wouldn't have won if they didn't score all those points." The fact of the matter is.. like it or not.. they did win ;)

the other aspect is, IF the spurs hadn't fouled as much, would dallas still have scored as much?? a lot of fouls usually indicates aggressive Defense. it's easy to say, oh they got bailed out with fouls, but what if the spurs Hadn't fouled, would the mavs have done better from the field??

you can't play the woulda been coulda been.

They fouled the Mavs for a reason. Dallas put the ball on the floor and went to the hoop in the second half. If SA didn't foul, Dallas was going to get layups. Personally I would rather foul a guy and make him make two free throws than give him a layup, which normally works. Problem is the Mavs broke the NBA record for free throw shooting this year, and that strategy isn't likely to work. SA needs to go back to the drawing board on their defense.

on the flipside if the spurs make a couple more freethrows they win the game. Freethrows are definetly not cheap points or anything to be ashamed of. Get the points however you can thats all that matters.

La Dee freakin' Da! That's exactly why I said "Free throws are killing the Spurs, and they're keeping Dallas in the game".

Read the posts.. don't just jump on the bandwagon.

wyvrn: San Antonio didn't play their game and they obvious fell prey to it. I don't see how me cheering for San Antonio means you can compare me to someone who's neglected to admit your team is any good. If that's the way you think, then you're just as bad as they are. ;)

Well it is possible I misinterpreted your attitude in the thead. The comment "It has become clear now... Nowitski must die." certainly does not help your credibility. I will give you benefit of the doubt though.

Honestly, who do you think is going to win the series now?

Actually you said it's the "only thing keeping Dallas in the game". That could be interpreted as meaning you don't think Dallas has a chance and the only thing keeping them going is a fluke free throw shooting spree. Thats quite arrogant, imo. But they won, and they deserve credit.

Goodnight everyone. See you in two days :)

I'm still sure San Antonio will win, but i'm by no means one of the guys who thought this series was going to be a breeze. I was actually hoping Sacramento would win because the Spurs would have it easier with them. ;)

The Nawitski comment was due to his running straight at, on and over Malik Rose. :|

The Spurs had the choice to foul Dirk instead when Rose was down, but they chose to let him play. It happens, dude...I really don't think there was any ill-intent there.

I misunderstood your previous quote as well Chris, and I apologize. I guess I mistook a simple observation as arrogance.. I'm sorry :)

As for Rose.. according to Tim Duncan, he's alright now and should be fine for the next game. I'm glad.. I don't want any injuries. I'm still pretty skeptical of Dallas winning against SA.. lord knows I sure want em to.. but SA is a damn good team. I'd really like it for Dallas to beat em and not have anyone able to say "Dallas won cause SA didn't have _____" like so many people say about the Sac series.

All in all, a good exciting game, had me on the edge of my seat at the end, and nobody cried.. good times for all :D
