I just got home from Kalamazoo. Dropping my daughter off at K college. The roads were total sh!t. Normally a 7 hour round trip drive turned into 13 hours today. Got home and had a few  to calm me down. Saw 5 multi-car pile ups, averaging 12 - 14 cars in each one, not to mention all of the single cars in the ditches.

Edit: This was all on I-94

You're over at the North or detroit?? I saw the news, free ways not looking too good and everything is slow to a crawl. definitely not a good day to drive. Let's hope they salt the roads tonight if not I'll have a hell of a time.

WHy K college?

20 some car pile up on I96 when I was getting out of work...people never learn to slow down in this crap

OMFG........That's crazy.....There was a 4 car pile up last week but it was due to.....rain?? Doh..

it's all white out there. :Q

The way they plow around here is to just do one lane and let the other become a slushy mess...well some jerkoff always tries to pass in the slush lane, looses control, smacks into the cars in the good lane, and the drama begins.

WHy K college?

She was accepted to several colleges and universities. She got pretty much a full ride academic scholarship from K college (among others) and wanted to go to a smaller private school. Her math teacher in high school recommended K college. She visited there and liked it.

It's a nice little college. Environment is alright but a quiet town is always the best so that she'll keep her interests to her books. :)

Yeah, I think she made the right choice. She's doing well so far. Her first term she pulled a 3.74 gpa. She's an english major and the program there suits her well.

Not bad for a freshman. I'm a WMU graduate myself. Drop by some time, we can get some beer. :D

Ask her about Campus Kitchen. I work there as a delivery guy. Good to see that I'm not alone in Michigan, :D

It's -16 deg F here... about a foot of snow on the ground, lots of fog (I live 1/4 mile from the Columbia river).

My dogs are lying on the futon... normally, they're outdoors till I go to bed, but it's just too freaking cold out.
