Confirmation of what makes sense to get now on SSD

So, is this the sensible SSD purchase?

Intel Gen2 80GB for $245.

Price seems right, you want TRIM so that means Gen2 Intel, Nothing on the hrizon in coming weeks to wait for better...

Sound right?

That isn't bad. I think right now the Intel G2, Indilinx drives, and maybe even the NEW Samsung (no TRIM yet but background GC) drives are decent, and a big driver is cost/GB plus the actual capacity you need.

i bought one of these drives for that price and it has been one of the best purchases or upgrades i have made to my computer!
the G2 is a awesome drive to use as a OS drive and for applications like photo shop elements or premiere Its like night and day difference from a mechanical drive i love it !

I ordered this last week, though a bit dubious of the long delivery date. This morning it said "out of stock" and now it points to another store. I haven't seen a shipping confirmation yet, hopefully it went through.

EDIT: Amazon says 'Shipping Estimate: November 16, 2009 - November 25, 2009'

Darn, I waited thinking about ordering, and went to the page now and it's up to $360.

But under 'other new sellers', there's a listing for Amazon at $244.10, out of stock delivery when available. I just ordered on at that price.
