Configuring wireless router as bridge

basically i have a microsoft wireless 'b' base station and it can be configured to connect to another wireless AP like a bridge. i want to go war driving but i am a cheap and want to know if there is anyway to hook it up to the wired port on my laptop and use it like a wireless card. i DO NOT want this to turn into a legal debate on wardriving. i am well aware of the risks.
