What port are you going to run the server? Forward the port you choose to the computer that you're running the warftpd server on.

i planned on using the original port 21. under win2k -> nic card -> ics settings -> services -> i turned on both ftp on port 21 with ip set to the local lan ip address of the comp running the server. did the same with telnet. I'll admit now, that this is the first time doing this and i'm not sure exactly on what needs to be done.

If you want to run war FTP you must turn off the FTP that comes with windows 2000. Control Panel>Admin tools.

Then install FTp to your comp and make the user account.

i dont have the win2k server package installed. i am not running the ftp server off the win2k box, rather on a separate comp that is provided with internet thru the win2k box. *bump for the night*
