Configuring Direcway DW6000 Ethernet Modem

First time poster... so bear with me please. I just had Direc Way internet Satellite installed on Saturday. I have the new model installed DW6000 which no longer uses USB but rather ethernet hookup. *NO* software was installed during the process or after the installation process. I have a few problems to start out with. One, I tried setting up an FTP on port 33300. I have all sorts of IPs listed on my Satellite config page. HEre is what is listed:

IP Address: 192.168.0.1
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
NAT IP Address: 69.35.136.99
NAT Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.255
Router Address: 66.82.12.44

I set my FTP IP to the 69.* and nothing, coudn't connect. I tried using the 66.* and still nothing. Im clueless on the NAT address and what NAT does. All I know is that on my Satellite config page I have *NO* way of editing or modifying any settings. Lastly I also tried setting up VNC so I could VNC to my PC from work, however that won't connect either. The way it looks, is that I have no way to modify my ports, (whats open, closed, forwarded, etc)

FINAL NOTE, there is no additional router in the equation, and I do have Zone Alarm Firewall software, however all of my troubleshooting has been done with the firewall disabled.

Thanks in advance.

Well, since your IP address is a 192.x.x.x address, you are obviously behind a NAT layer here. Have you tried pointing IE at 66.82.12.44 to see if you get a configuration page? I'd also try 69.35.136.99 with IE. I suspect that they're not going to allow you to open any ports, but it can't hurt to poke around. 🙂

I can point IE to 69.35.136.99. I have not tried pointing IE to 66.82.12.44 yet. I can tell you when I point IE to 69.* I see all my settings but I have no way to edit any of these settings.
