Hey all I dumped the 3400+ and got the newcastle 3200+ so i could grab the Z680 speakers instead of the extra 200 mhz...

Not sure if it will make that much of a different, but im trying to keep the rig under $2000 including shipping..

Didnt wanna type it all out so just see my wish list hehe..

Newegg wishlist

The only thing missing is the powersupply which im going to buy at zipzoomfly.. im gonna grab this one from zzf

power supply link

Gonna buy a video card whenever i can, most likely going to shoot for an X800 XT PE when i can get one...

Hows it look?, any compatibility problems with motherboard and the corsair ram?

Thanks

Do you have a frys nearby? if yes then get a raptor from newegg and a 160gb from frys for 69.99.

Also consider LCD's (dont know if you want to spend the extra $$ -- around $200-500) . Some of the dell stuff can be pretty cheap.

I think the wire sleeve and cold cathode is not something I would spend money on, but then again, I'm not buying the pc. :)
On the serious side, you may want to look at a different keyboard. I find a small backspace key to be a pain.

EDIT: Why not look at a local store for canned air? Microcenter has a 3pack for $10.
This is more curiosity, but why not use the onboard sound?

Hey, only needed one can of air, and the keyboard im using now with my other system has a small backspace so no problems there...

I got the case with a window, why not show it off with a cathode and sleeve it up nice and neat :)

Hi 0roo0roo,

I guess im kind of old school, just give me a basic keyboard and im fine... that keyboard you posted looks dreadful to me and i wouldnt chance it for a natural keyboard when i been typing on standard keyboards for 20+ years...

If it aint broke dont fix it... :p

I use both, standard and natural. Once you use a natural keyboard, you don't want to go back. The comfort they provide when you type is worth the extra money in my opinion.
But then again, I'm the kind of guy who spends extra on the type of keyboard, mouse, and monitor I use. I just feel these 3 things are very important since these are the things you interact with (if one can use that word).

Have you considered the Logitech MX Duo?
Wireless MX Duo!

Do you plan on raid 0'ing those hdds? Why not just get rid of one of them to save some money, since as anantech prooved there is no difference, so you can save some money there ;)

Looks good, if you're not overclocking (if you are, there's a few things I'd change).
One thing I'd definitely change: get (Corsair) value RAM instead of the XMS. It costs a lot less, and performs to within 1-2% as well. The difference is hard to notice even in benchmarks, not to mention when you're actually using it...
The other thing is, don't know whether you're aware of this, but both AT and Storage Review conducted tests that showed RAID 0 to be of very little use on the desktop. So if you're getting the two drives for speed, you're better of getting a Raptor and a big storage drive (or just get only the big drive and pocket the rest).
