HI ,

I recently setup my system:

AMD thunderbird 900MHZ
Creative 3D Blaster Annihilator 2 GeForce2 GTS
IBM 75GXP 30 gig
ABIT KT7_RAID
128MB Mushkin PC 133 Memory

I did a benchmark test using 3DMARK 2000 and my score is 2586 3D marks.

I noticed that the score is relatively low compare to some of the reviews out there. I am not overclocking the video card. Do I need to configure/tweak the setting (either in BIOS or anywhereelse) that I need to change to fully utilize the card?

I did install the latest reference driver, detonator 3.

Any advise would be great :)

Did you install the VIA 4in1 drivers, specifically the AGP driver?

Yes I just did before the benchmark test. How do I make sure my system is using 4X AGP mode?

I don't have answers, but I'll second the question. I had similar result running Final Reality - actually got better rates with my overclocked CL TNT2 (non-ultra) than with CL GeForce 2 GTS. I'm sure I have some leftover drivers messing up the card somewhere but havn't found them yet. I may format and reload windumb again. Lark

I have a KA7-100/Athlon 1gig and a Prophet 2 32mb and the 6.18 drivers-with these drivers I cant run in 4Xagp/fastwrites without major problems so I run in 2Xagp and even then I get 6600 3dmarks in 3dmark2000-so enabling fastwrites probably wont help much. I remember similair posts like yours at the BBS at AMDZone-might want to check out the posts there-www.amdzone.com

Ok, so now I know the problem. Needed to enable the USB support part of W95/OSR2. Went from 3DMark scores of 2395 to 6584 by installing the USB support to fully engage the AGP stuff. No amount of changing drivers (CL or Reference, 5.32, 6.18, 6.31, etc) made any difference before this step. If you are running W95, this is most likely your problem as well. I believe that the USB is already "active" in W98's default installation. Hope this helps you. If you had enabled a profile, I would have e-mailed this info. Lark

I think Lark888 is right on the money (buddy had the same problem) but I seem to remember someone posting about "depth queqe???" being set to a higher # not to 1 or something like that... Sorry I dont have a MB that has setting now...
