Brokers vary. I used AAA's Autosource car buying service to buy my last car, and AFAIK they charged me nothing for getting the car to me for $500 below invoice (I received a copy of the dealer invoice). The best part is that it was a true no haggle/no hassle service. I did my research, exploited a few dealers to do some test drives (call in advance and set an appt. for the test drive, then decline to go inside the dealership after the test drive is over), called a few brokers and buying services to see what I could get, AAA met my price on a car outfitted exactly as I wanted it, and provided the easiest and fastest service.
