Well in the last six months i managed to kill THREE Harddisks 🙁

The latest this morning 🙁

But now i'm up and running again , with a brand new WD 40 GB 7200 rpm 8 Mb Cache 😀

( Only that cost our MiniTeAm , half a days production 🙁 )

You know, I've also killed two hard drives myself in the last couple of months. Luckily for me they were still under warranty. But there was still lost data and time plus much aggravation.

I do believe running DC and using that "idle CPU capacity" does shorten the lifespan of our "stuff".

But it also gives us a good excuse to upgrade and keep up with the technology. 😛 😀

I don't know if DC really shortens the life of hardware as much as overclocking, but the two seem to be almost synonymous, so... 😉

At this point, I've not killed any hard drives... yet... which reminds me - I have been very lax on my backups, so I need to throw some CDRs in the burner!
