This is a serious question, and mature responses would be appreciated to help keep this thread unlocked.

To those who have a preference: what brands/styles of condoms do you prefer and why?

My fiancee (a virgin) and I are getting to the point where we need to consider this, and it's been so long since I used condoms that I don't remember much. I think I like the Trojan Enz in the purple packets, but would appreciate hearing others' experiences.

durex, don't bother with the sperm killing lube though, there is not enough juice to really make it effective and it can irritate the ladies.

do condom types make a difference? I think they do.. my gf and i tried on a free generic one given out during AIDS awareness and i couldn't feel shit.

what's a good brand? don't just say trojan... i want to know what's really good based on some keen observations.

since she's a virgin wont matter. gonna hurt anyway. get something lubricated, no spermicidal until u see if she'll react to it (after she "heals up"). Trojans is the r0x0r

personally, since she's your fiancee.... I think that having a condom on reduces the intimacy. In your case, the risk of std's is probably not the primary consideration for condom use... The primary need is for birth control. In which case, I'd suggest she start taking the pill about a month before you plan to "do it." For someone who is dating, but not making that lifetime committment of marriage, I would recommend sticking to a condom to prevent the transmission of std's.

I don't believe it...it's not possible...it just can't be....

A serious and mature response in a sex thread.

That's it, I'm outta here. Time to find a new board to lurk in

the ribbed or studded are just a marketing ploy
from my experience its either not effective enough for the girl to notice -- or purvasive to the point it causes irritation

certainly what you want to use is something with lubrication, and furthermore have a personal lubricant like astroglide or the ky liquid handy in cases of prolonged lovemaking, i have both on the stand next to my bed

all major brands are fine, lifestyles, trojan, durex (a little too snug in my opinion but everyone has different preference)

the trojan-enz you mentioned are good, cheap, effective - i hate them solely for their color, not every arousing to see something pasty white covering my darker skin

I would say buy different brands and see which one fits your penis better. From personal experience some are too small and some are too big even though the package never mentions a "size". I actually like lifestyle. Never had a problem with them. There is a japanese brand condom. Don't get those...they are pretty small. Moreover, Nonoxinol 9 spermicide makes the condom less effective againsts STD although they are supposed to be better at birth control. I personally like lubricated condoms, although I haven't used one in a long time since my gf uses the patch :)
