Although this was more of an attack against democracy than an attack against the United States, the United States - specifically NYC - took the brunt of this horrible and cowardly attack. I'm confident my blood brothers to the south will pull through this stronger than ever. If there is a lesson to be learned from this - And I'm sure there is - Let's hope we can all become better individuals, and rise stronger then ever as a country, and a continent. We are all brothers and sisters.

My condolences to all those who were affected by this tragedy.

Canada has been great to the US. My aunt and uncle probably had their international flight diverted to Canada, I trust that you will take good care of them :) If someone knows how I can get a hold of them, I'd appreciate it.

Hard to say how you can reach them... but they should be able to reach you very easily.

But i would agree, you have the vast majority of the Canadian support.

My heart goes out to all those in the NY and Washington area, the ones dead, and those victims still alive today. Many thanks to those who've contributed in such great effort to make the best of current situation, and to those who've lended a helping hand in such tough times.

Its very very hard to describe what many had gone through yesterday. It was totally shocking. I've never imagined such a thing would happen. I've wished it to be a bad dream. May there be peace to those who've passed away. And may time heal those who've suffered.

My condolences to you all.

Canada's actually been pretty awesome through this whole thing. For starters, they're cool with all the Airline flights that had to be routed through there and all the hotels where international travellers are staying.

On top of that, the Prime Minister of Canada on CNN spoke with genuine caring like you didn't see with other world leaders...

Thanks Canada

While I must commend the Canadians for their hospitality in looking after stranded passengers, I feel that it is time that Canadians put an end to the so-called "oppressed groups" that are blatantly taking advantage of your lax immigration laws.
For many years, numerous terrorist groups or off-shoots thereof have found a safe haven in Canada, using it as a base for plotting terror and a valuable source of funding, either soliciting or extorting money from their fellow countrymen who came to Canada seeking to escape the tyranny that they now willingly or otherwise, fund.
Your own Canadian Security and Intelligence Service has warned your government about the presence of known militant groups on Canadian soil. Unfortunately political leaders have been reluctant to pursue the matter for fear of being labelled as racist. I urge Canadians to consider what they can do to stop their country being exploited in this manner.
I don't know if there's any indication if the perpetrators of yesterdays attack had any links to Canada, but if past experience is anything to go by, it doesnt bode well.
Before you think I'm ranting away and not giving any concrete evidence, please peruse the following links:ABCNEWS.com : Report: Canada Is Terrorist Safe Haven

Dont get me wrong, I am sure that the vast majority of immigrants in Canada from politically unstable regions are decent, upright, peace-loving citizens. However, there is a small majority who hide behind the veil of "freedom fighters" to hide their cowardly terrorist acts. Canadians, please take some action to eradicate these spineless creeps from your country.
As President Bush said "We will make no distinction between the terrorists who committed these acts and those who harbor them. "

thank you

More condolences from Ontario.

And yes, I would like to see MUCH tighter security at the Canadian/US border and at Canadian airports. We also need tougher rules and better checks regarding immigration. I don't want to keep out those who are deserving; I recognize that Canada is largely country of immigrants. But I would hate to think that Canada aided any terrorists by letting them into our country on the way to the US.

By the way, to find your closest blood donor centre in Canada, call 1-888-ToDonate.

I've been trying to get through, but unfortunately, they've been constantly busy.
