Condensate line cleaner

just had a heat pump installed, should I use something like this in the condensate line?

Bleach is just as effective. Do you have a condensate pump or just a gravity drain?

My condensate line and pump are in the basement. No need to use anything to keep it clean, after two and a half years pump, tank, and lines are clean as can be.

I think cleaner is only needed if the system is in an attic or high humidity area where algae may grow and clog the lines.

My condensate line had a partial clog a few weeks ago and it was overflowing in my garage. I poured some bleach into the line and it hasn’t leaked since.

I agree as long as there is no standing water in the line it shouldn't need any attention.

Mine is six years old and I haven't cleaned it out. No problems so far.
