This is so sad.........

1. ?I think she has pretty thoroughly ? and probably irretrievably ? proven that she is not up to the job of being president of the United States,?

2. Ms. Palin, the Republican vice-presidential nominee, flew to Mr. McCain?s ranch in Sedona, Ariz., on Monday for three days of preparation with a team of his aides ? a sharp contrast to the less structured preparation that led up to the senator?s first debate.

Biden is also boning up. The difference of course is he's taking a refresher and getting down important stats and Palin is learning "How a bill becomes a law."

Haha, that is indeed basically the gist. The man has done this as a job for 30 odd years.

I am far more concerned about her performance in the interviews than I am with the fact that she has set aside 3 days to prep for her debate. For all of the talk Obama gave about Presidents needing to be able to do several things at once, it was ironic that he too canceled all of his public appearances for the 3 days before his debate so he could prep.

I hope for the debates the McCain camp stops shoving talking points in Palin's mouth, so the American people can find out for once and for all who the real Palin is-- the principled government reformer who took on special interests and corrupt politicians in Alaska, the opportunistic governor who fired those who dared to disagree with her and hired her unqualified friends, the pragmatic politician who rejected millions of dollars in earmarks (after accepting them as mayor) and cut unneeded luxuries for herself and others, or the apparent half-wit who insists that Alaska being close to Russia gives her some special insight into Russian politics and foreign relations.
