Concerning the IP35 PRO motherboard

Hi All im new here, and i have some questions. Yes i googled before coming here, now i need help from a pro!! ok im building my own pc and im using this board. now my question is what GPU will work for this board. i read the specs but they confuse me since i dont understand what it all means fully. thanks for help. heres a link for some help

What would be the best GPU i could get for this board? IDC about price!!!! IM USING THIS FOR EXTREME GAMING BTW!!

Im looking at the ATi Radeon 4870 x2. would that work or DOES IT HAVE TO HAVE a 2.0 PCIe?

PCIexpress 2.0 and 1.0 are backwards compatible. For example you can use that 4870x2 in this motherboard. I myself have the same exact motherboard and im going to be pairing it with a 4870 when the money comes in. currently, or as far as i know, no video card fully utilizes the bandwidth provided by pciexpress 2.0.

long story short, get the 4870x2 as you planned to as it will work, and you will have a killer gaming setup, granted you have a decent processor as to not bottleneck the gpu.
