Concerning Nvidia's 12.41 drivers and win2k

Hello fellow ATers,

I was running the 6.5's for a while and the other day I d/led the 12.41 from Nvidia.
Funny thing is that there isnt the Nvidia thingy anymore where I can tweak stuff and run my tv-out. I dont mean only coolbits but the entire nvidia panel thingy is gone. nothing. in the 6.5 it was fine and i could adjust the brightness, use tv-out, set the mip mapping stuff but after 12.41 it seems to have disappeared. Anyone know how to fix this? anyone have the same problem?

Edit: I uninstalled the 6.5's and then installed the 12.41

do you mean the quick tweak in the taskbar?...if that's the case go into to desktop settings>>>advanced, and look for the tab that has the taskbar Nvidia logo enable(or something like that) checkbox...I can't give exact directions for it because it's not installed on mine.


But if you mean you cannot get to the Nvidia settings at all there is something else wrong.

All I can say then is to remove them completley(the proper way), reboot and install them again in safe mode preferably
