Concerned about the level of moderation at Anandtech

Its been a while since I've been on the site and I know that in the past there always were people that would assume the role of forum police. I didnt find the post I created (see very bottom) as breaking any rules - its only offensive to people that you say yourself (in the FAQ)that you dont want on the site - trolls.

Overmoderation is a pet peeve of mine and while I'm sure this thread will get locked as well for criticism of the administration of this website - I think that anandtech has one of the best forum communities on the web and I want it to continue as such.

What is even more amazing is that when I reposted the question (a quick one about website design) without any of the below "offensive" portion I was told by the admin: "Can the attitude and post your question in the programming forum. "

I suppose I may get a few week ban(first ever for any site) for voicing my concerns over this, but I feel it important enough to be addressed.

Its OFF TOPIC so I can put anything in here I want - even if there is a more appropriate category for it. This forum has more traffic and quicker responses so ah heck off.

This isn't a democracy and the mods can edit/delete whatever thread they feel is inappropriate and what you posted may have come off as arrogant condenscencion (sp) because "trolls" may have a deeper connotation (ie anyone who disagrees with you) so the mods decided it wasn't appropriate.

It is not for us to question the mods in here so much as in a private message.
