My wife and I are having birthday party in our yard, I see registered sex offender standing in his yard staring at people at party. He was walking his dog, and stopped several times to stare.

A week later, my wife sees sex offenders car in parking lot of local psychiatrist.

I am concerned that sex offender is going to psychiatrist for help fighting his "urges".

You probably have nothing to worry about. The VAST majority of sex offenders are not predators who pick up random kids. It's usually sexual assault on someone they know.

And then there are the ones that shouldn't be called "sex offenders" at all.

I do not know the whole story, but 2 girls around the age of 13 accused him of having sex with them. He was in his 30s when it happened.

The guy spent 12 years in prison.

Background checks did not show any other criminal activity.
