Concerned about compatibility

I've built two computers so I'm still a noobie. I've purchased an

Asus M2NPV-VM AM2 Nvidia GeForce 6150 Micro ATX AMD, a

AMD Athlon 64 x 2 4600+ Windsor 2.4GHz Socket AM2 65 W Processor and

Corsair XMS2 2GB (2x1gb) 240-pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model TWIN2x2048.

I'd like a comparable and compatible case, but would like to keep the cost to about $50-$60 if possible.

Any advice, suggestions are appreciated.

Thank you, MsMimi

Welcome to the AT forums.

I hope that budget is for the case alone - hard to get a decent PSU with any case for that kind of money. The Evercase 3505 cases are among the best microATX cases I've seen and here is the link to one of the few places that carries them:
http://www.ewiz.com/detail.php?name=CA-3505B

And here is the Mfr's Product Page:
http://www.evercase.com/2product/e3505.htm for more info.

. One of the PSUs I'm selling in the For Sale/Trade section here (link in my sig, below) would go well with it and your mentioned components.

You can go to newegg.com and look at tons of microATX cases too but few if any others have 120mm fan mounts front and rear. But other features may be of more importance as you aren't building a space-heater of a system there.

The Antec NSK3480 isn't too bad either and it comes with a PSU similar to the ones I'm selling - Provantage.com has one of the best prices on that.

Thanks for responding Zepper. I couldn't find your trades, but will take your advice. I would like a case and psu that are compatible with my earlier purchases and if you have what I need, please direct me to it. I'd like to see your prices, etc. Does it make more sense if I spend a little more money on it? I truly want a responsive pc and not one that is going to give me problems.

Thanks! Ms.Mimi

That highlighted link at the bottom of my posts will take you to my listing in the For Sale/Trade section here. Unfortunately I just traded off my two power supplies yesterday. It seems that people are figuring out how good those Antec SU series PSUs are, so they don't come up for sale very often any more.

It's always good to pay a bit more for your case and PSU as you can keep them for several generations of the other system components and the PSU is the cornerstone of system stability.

You might also want to check out the Antec B Stock store. It's where they sell their "scratch and dent" merchandise. They have several of their better cases in there. SLK3000-B, SLK3700-BQE, Sonata II, Super LAN Boy (a nice, compact and light aluminum case) at reasonable prices.

Link to the B Stock store:

I just remembered their Spooky Specials page:
http://www.antec.com/Search.bo...tegory=Spooky+Specials - the NSK3300 and 4400 are nice cases too and come with the SU series PSUs.
