All hail the Ford empire 😀
Screw the Ford empire. The RX-8 is pure Mazda.

Mazda is owned by Ford my friend.
Ford owns a controlling interest in Mazda, but does not own it outright. The Miata, RX-8, Protege, Protege5, Mazdaspeed Protege, and Mazda6 were designed entirely by Mazda.

The Ford empire. Uh, ok.

I believe Ford owns about 30% of Mazda.

159ft/lbs is nothing to brag about, even if the curve is flat. Why even bother with a rotary if it can't get the power, fuel efficiency, emissions, ease of repair of a regular 6 or 8 cylinder engine? Granted it is smooth and can rev pretty high but there are so many drawbacks to it and most importantly no torque in sports car that I'd much rather get a different car.

WTF that car is practically the definition of rice. it looks fantastic, but SLOW...
159 ft lbs? what is that, some sort of crappy concept stage engine? 😛
where's the rotary turbo!?!?

yeah but..the car still looks sweet....just say it's unique..aha..

hehe, man,.....only if nissan's Z's interior looks uber cool, then....it'll be interesting to see which one wins in the buyer market...
