How many people have one? Just curious. I do not, but have 2 friends who pack heat wherever they go, except banks etc.....

My uncle has 2 of them. 1 always at work.. a .357 Revolver I believe and he has a Berreta (silenced) which he carries at all times. He resides in NYC and it's really tough to get a concealed weapon and a silencer to boot :Q He's part of the NRA.. he's no hick.. but sur eloves guns. When I turn 21 I'm going to ask him to do the same for me.. I want to carry guns where ever I go too 😀... Watch Out!! :Q

I honestly feel more at ease when I am out with a friend who I know is packing.

heck, my work partner carries a little .22 in his pocket loaded at all times, even while working. He actually had to pull it out one day when a disgruntled employee came back after he got fired to get revenge on the boss. My buddy showed him the gun and told him he is not afraid to use it, then the dude backed down and left for good. I am glad at that moment he had it, because I was the boss he was going to get revenge on with a baseball bat... 🙁

living in a safe place, i guess i wouldn't really appreciate the comfort it brings, but i personally wouldn't want to be anywhere near anyone with a firearm. getting into fights is one thing, getting into firefights is a completely different animal, and i would rather get beaten senseless with a baseball bat, than have some untrained, testosterone pumping 20-something wielding a gun.

I'll be right over! Now, where's the old bat? 😉

a friend of mine has a CHL... its his ID of choice now... people card him for beer and he whips out the CHL

FYI, the same people that would beat you senseless with a bat probably could care less about having a pemit to carry a gun, much less own one legally.

I am curious how he carries a silencer considering the sale and production of them are illegal? Unless he is doing it illegally? But we are talking about concealed weapons permit which is legal carry here, not criminal carry.

When you turn 21 you are going to ask him to do the same (what?) for you? Issue you a warrant? Does he have the authority to do so?

It's not illegal. All you need is a $200 tax stamp and permit from the ATF and you're good to go.

Proof that he is not mature enough to carry a weapon and how small his peepee is that he needs to let the cashier chick at Best Buy know he has a gun on him.......nice, real nice.

I know a few people who can legally carry, no permit though. Then I know a few people who don't have one and do it anyway.

Personlly, I'd like one, I wish we had it in IL.

I am from ca and good luck getting gun permit here .Better chances of getting hit by lighting then getting concealed weapons permit

I'm a software developer and frequently you can see me with an Uzi. The engineers and managers are all required to carry automatic weapons. Sometimes when I think of it I find it highly amusing.

no wonder u are from israel, i am suprised that high school student aren't required to carry guns

As soon as I'm of age, I would very much like to. I don't know if I'll actually end up carrying, but I'd like at least to go to the range and target shoot. I'm not quite sure how comfortable I'd be carrying around a gun.

My father has one, but doesn't care a firearm. In fact, he doesn't even own one. 🙂

I don't understand why you would carry a concealed silenced weapon. Presumably the only time you'd use it would be for self defense when the noise wouldn't matter. I have read that silenced weapons are less accurate and the bullets are slower, but I don't know how true all that is.

Minnesota used to have a pretty decent conceal-and-carry law, but this year in the legislature, the fscked it up pretty big. Now, C&C permits are cake to get. But worse yet, unless a sign is prominently displayed and all people entering a piece of property/business/church/public area/etc. are individually informed, verbally, that guns are not allowed on premesis, it's legal to carry one there. The only exception to this is your own residence.

Therefore, the pastor (or someone else who works at a church), for example, must stand outside the doorway on Sunday morning and verbally inform everyone coming in that guns are not allowed within the church. Same goes for all public buildings, businesses, schools, parks, etc.

Stupid idiots down in St. Paul, if you ask me.

Not true. But when a silencer is put on or taken off a firearm it needs to be recalibrated to be accuarate. As far as slower or not, does it really matter? Yeah they slow down to the point that you can just dodge the bullets.
